Description
This 2003 BMW Alpina Roadster V8 is #256 of 555 examples produced and is powered by an Alpina-tuned 4.8-liter V8 paired with a five-speed Switch-Tronic automatic transmission. It is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic over black Nappa leather and features a black soft top, staggered-width 20″ Ronal wheels, xenon headlights, heated power-adjustable sport seats, a Harman Kardon sound system, navigation, and air conditioning.
The Henrik Fisker-designed Z8 drew inspiration from the 507 roadster of the 1950s and features aluminum body panels over an aluminum spaceframe. The Alpina Roadster was produced for the 2003 model year after standard Z8 production ended. This example is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic and features a black soft top. Additional equipment includes xenon headlights with washers, front fender air extractors with BMW roundels, painted mirror caps, dual exhaust outlets, and neon taillights and turn indicators.
Staggered-width 20″ Ronal wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires measuring 255/35 up front and 285/30 out back. The four-wheel disc brake system is equipped with Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), and the Alpina model received a softer suspension as compared to the standard Z8. Additional features include Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and All-Season Traction (ASC).
